Calenso – Streamlining Appointment Booking for Businesses

Calenso is an advanced appointment booking software designed to streamline the scheduling process for small and medium-sized businesses in various industries, including insurance, real estate, and eGovernment. Built using CakePHP (backend) and Angular (frontend), Calenso allows partner companies to register, purchase subscriptions, and add workers, services, stores, and resources. Workers can manage their availabilities, create events, and share appointment links with customers, allowing seamless scheduling. Calenso also provides automated smart actions such as appointment confirmation, reminders, and birthday notifications, ensuring smooth communication with customers.

The Objective

The goal was to create a Smart Widget that would allow partner companies to customize their booking widget according to their website theme. Additionally, the project required a text search option over encrypted data to improve calendar filtering and a compact widget and onboarding process to enhance user experience.
