The MIS Portal was developed to support the Odisha government’s youth employment initiatives by streamlining the enrollment, training, and assessment processes for future entrepreneurs. The portal serves four key users: Program Managers, Trainers, Center Coordinators, and Candidates. Each user has customized functionalities that allow them to manage training centers, assign batches, record attendance, and assess candidates. This system plays a pivotal role in preparing youth for employment in various sectors across the state.
The primary objective of the MIS Portal is to support youth employment programs by creating an efficient and streamlined system that manages multiple stakeholders, including Program Managers, Trainers, and Center Coordinators. Key features of the system include:
Enrolling candidates based on sectors, caste, and education backgrounds.
Creating and managing multiple training centers and assigning batches.
Keeping track of candidate attendance and evidence submission.
Exporting detailed reports of programs and candidates.
Allowing trainers to upload attendance and assessments.
Enabling center coordinators to assess candidates and generate invoices for each batch.
We developed an MIS Portal that addresses all requirements for effective program management:
Candidate Enrollment: Program Managers can enroll candidates from various backgrounds and assign them to training centers.
Training Center Management: The portal allows the creation of multiple training centers with the ability to assign batches.
Attendance Management: Trainers can upload attendance with evidence, which can be reviewed by Program Managers.
Assessment and Invoicing: Center Coordinators can assess candidates and generate invoices based on attendance and batch performance.
Statistical Dashboard: A comprehensive dashboard provides key statistics about the system’s performance, including attendance, candidate progress, and program outcomes.
Reporting: Detailed reports can be exported for each batch and candidate.
While the project saw multiple iterations in the functional scope, there were no major technical challenges during development. The primary focus was ensuring the system could handle a large number of candidates and integrate the necessary workflows for all stakeholders involved in the program.
The client brought two decades of experience in government advisory roles. He has led projects with KPMG, Accenture, Ernst & Young, and PwC, and has a strong background in program management, public procurement, and government advisory services. The MIS Portal delivers:
Comprehensive Dashboard: Offers insights into candidate enrollment, training progress, and attendance.
Evidence-Based Attendance: Trainers can upload evidence of attendance, ensuring transparency.
Detailed Reporting: Program Managers can export reports detailing the performance of candidates and training centers.
