Holographic Experience for Dholera Smart City Planning

Project Overview

ViitorCloud developed an advanced holographic experience for the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) to showcase the smart city's master plan and development phases at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022 and Defense Expo 2022. The immersive experience used a digital twin of the city, with lightweight 3D models of infrastructure such as electricity, water, and disaster-management networks, overlaid on GIS maps with audio, video, and voice-over. A custom interface let users zoom, pan, and view key performance indicators (KPIs) for insight into the city's infrastructure and development.

Objective

Create a virtual walkthrough of the smart city that is informative (master plan, phases, key metrics), engaging (interactive), and compatible (built for the Holo table).

The Challenge

Building an immersive holographic experience required converting architectural files into lightweight 3D models suitable for holographic rendering while keeping visual quality high, ensuring compatibility with holographic devices, and integrating audio and voice-over into an easy-to-use interface.
