Morven Park is a virtual classroom platform designed to support students and instructors by offering seamless management of online courses. The system allows admins to create courses, manage instructors, and monitor student progress. Instructors can generate unique access codes for students, enabling them to participate in courses, while also tracking their performance through detailed reports. Students access the courses using these codes, benefiting from an organized and structured learning environment.

Objective

Morven Park required a streamlined system to manage virtual classrooms for students and teachers. The platform had to provide key functionalities for administrators, instructors, and students, enabling easy course creation, student access, and progress tracking through an intuitive interface.

Challenges

The primary challenge was delivering a fully functional virtual classroom system within a tight timeline, ensuring that the platform met the specific needs of each user group:

• User Role Management: Implementing clear distinctions between the roles of Super Admins, Instructors, and Students to ensure smooth platform functionality.

The honest difficulty. The tight timeline and the strict role separation pulled against each other. Moving fast is easy when everyone shares one set of permissions, but Morven Park needed three carefully walled-off roles. Most of the early effort went into getting that permission model right, because a shortcut there would have surfaced later as students seeing instructor tools or instructors reaching admin billing. We built and tested the role boundaries first, then layered the course, access-code, and reporting features on top.
