Holographic Solution for Dholera Smart City Planning

Project Overview

ViitorCloud developed an advanced holographic solution for Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) to showcase the smart city's master plan and development phases at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022 and Defense Expo 2022. The immersive experience utilized a digital twin of the city, featuring lightweight 3D models representing infrastructure elements such as electricity, water, and disaster management networks.

This experience was overlaid on GIS maps and accompanied by audio, video, and intuitive voice-over to deliver a comprehensive view of the smart city's development. The custom interface allowed users to interact with the hologram effortlessly, enabling them to zoom, pan, and view various key performance indicators (KPIs) to gain insights into the city's infrastructure and development.

Objective

The project's main objective was to create a virtual walkthrough of the smart city that would be:

• Compatible: Designed specifically for seamless use on the Holo table, providing an immersive experience.

Challenges

Client Brief

The Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA) is responsible for the planning and development of DSIR. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) named Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL) was formed between the Central Government and the State Government of Gujarat to implement the smart city project. The aim was to showcase the smart city's future infrastructure using innovative technology.
